Credentials

The Clergy Support Memorial Church Board was in full agreement to certify the Rev Teresa McBride to the office of Appointed Designated Minister of Life Celebrations and Pastoral Care on March 19, 2020.  Rev McBride lives in Huntsville and has been a longstanding contributor to her community. Teresa is a hardworking, caring individual who makes herself available when there is a need.

Past and Present Local Church Support

Teresa was a volunteer and supporter for over six years (2011-2017) at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Huntsville, ON.  She was a Sunday School assistant, participated in the Women’s Bible Study Group and Wednesday mornings she could be found at the Chartwell Muskoka Traditions Retirement Residence conducting bible study for the residents there. She still makes herself available to the church ‘on call’, helping out when needed.

She also volunteers as secretary for the Phelps United Church in Redbridge, ON.

Spiritual Support

Rev Teresa offers support to families in grief or to those who are considering marriage. She is always willing to interact with those who contact her with their concerns or questions.

In 2019 Teresa married over 70 couples in the Huntsville and North Bay areas. Her professionalism combined with her friendly charm has made her a popular choice for Life Celebrations.

Teresa is a strong supporter of the LGBTQ2, and a welcome ally and contributor of her time at their events.

Hobbies

Teresa admits her main hobby is dictated by her daughter, who enjoys anything to do with the “Harry Potter” franchise.

She loves to research her family genealogy. In the last 30 years she has traced both sides of her family tree back to the 1700’s. Teresa enjoys finding new information and watching history unfold.
