Ministry
Rev Miller has always been passionate about advocating for people and helping those who need it. Making change where she can. She has her own practice in psychotherapy and has spent a great deal of her time providing counselling work and physician support for mental health, including providing training in grief and crisis situations.
As an educator and practitioner, she goes above and beyond promoting and teaching positive parenting, along with self esteem workshops for youth. She has found being an active member of the Youth Justice Committee is fulfilling work, allowing her to advocate for workable restitutions to families.
She also makes herself available to ‘counsel the counsellors’ supporting colleagues and professionals as a clinical supervisor.
Performing ceremonies is something she enjoys, and she makes herself available to work with couples and families of all cultures, faiths, genders, and backgrounds who want a personalized ceremony on land or on the water.
Closing points
Rev Rebecca and her husband are avid campers and boaters, often hosting friends and the public who have little opportunity to get on the water. She’s realized there are numerous ways to serve her community. The simple act of practicing kindness and showing empathy to others improves their spiritual health and well being.
