Pastoral Care
Michael is the son of an Anglican minister (deceased). Growing up in a church environment, Michael assisted his father for many years with baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Michael also participated in many community outreach activities alongside his father during his 30+ year ministry. This is the basis that led to his desire to join Clergy support Memorial Church. Active in his community, Michael is a long-term volunteer with the Hotel Dieu Shaver Rehabilitation Hospital – operated by the Catholic Religious Hospitaliers of St. Joseph. Michael supports numerous community outreach programs through volunteering, gathering clothing donations in the community, and his own personal financial support. Michael strongly believes that he should do what he is able to help and make life better for the less fortunate, without seeking reward or recognition for his efforts.
Personal Growth
Michael regularly participates in seminars and online sessions to expand his knowledge. He sources articles of interest both online and via hard copies to expand his personal library of materials, readings, and literature of value to his duties as Clergy.
Closing Words
Michael’s personal and professional backgrounds have instilled in him the qualities of compassion, understanding and the ability to relate to people from all walks of life. He is non judgemental, and welcomes the opportunity to craft a unique, appropriate ceremony – whether it be for wedding couples or persons grieving the loss of a loved one.
