A Few Words About Janine

Janine’s family is an essential part of her life. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is a proud mother of three children and two granddaughters. Her large loving family, including her nine siblings, has given her a wealth of life experience interacting with others. A large part of Janine’s ministry helps support her daughter who is a Music Therapist. Together their focus is working with children and adults with exceptionalities like autism, deafness and blindness. Janine’s background in various volunteer activities, such as working with the MS Society, CNIB, and the Canadian Cancer Society, showcases her commitment to serving others. Her experience as an Executive Member for the MS Relay Box Hour, which has raised thousands of dollars for the Thunder Bay MS Society, highlights her ability to lead and organize successful events. Janine’s involvement in these activities not only benefits the organizations but also enriches her own life, allowing her to continually grow and learn.

Personal Growth:

Janine’s personal growth is marked by her continuous pursuit of knowledge and self-improvement. She has taken a language course to learn Ojibiwe, reflecting her commitment to understanding and respecting Indigenous cultures.

She attends counseling sessions to improve her communication skills and gain new perspectives on life. Janine listens to podcasts and reads extensively for personal growth, with books like “Braving the Wilderness” by Brené Brown and “The Likeability Trap” impacting her significantly. Her journey towards personal growth is ongoing, as she seeks to better herself and those around her.
