A Few Words About Ginette
Ginette is a bilingual social service worker with over 20 years of experience in helping individuals and communities. Her professional journey has been characterized by an unwavering dedication to advocacy, empathy, and support. As a social advisor, she has developed exceptional skills in listening, communicating, and providing meaningful guidance to those in need.
Her community involvement is remarkable and diverse. Ginette volunteers extensively, including organizing foodbank food drives, supervising social work placements at the University of Ottawa and La Cité College. She regularly visits retirement homes like the Jardin Belle-Rive, Rockland Manor and St Joseph Nursing Home where she spends quality time with those in need and those without family or friends. Visitation extends to the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre where she supports inmates and helps those without strong support networks. Ginette has worked closely with the DeafBlind Ontario organization and has been formally recognized for her efforts regarding the needs of and improving the quality of life for adults.
