The Clergy Support Memorial Church Board was in full agreement in certifying the Rev Genevieve R. Jones to the Office of Appointed Designated Minister – Life Celebrations and Pastoral Care, on October 9, 2019. Rev Genevieve is fluent in English and Spanish and has passion for languages. She embraces diversity and has a very open attitude and perspective on life. We are happy to support her and encourage her engagement in her Fonthill, ON community in the Niagara region.

Pastoral Care Activities

Rev Genevieve is trained and experienced in conducting personalized wedding and baptism ceremonies. She’s completely fluent in both Spanish and English and welcomes your input with any Hispanic or Latino requests you may have.

While spending time in Roma, Italia teaching English as a second language, she volunteered as a dress-up hospital clown. Genevieve participated in a couple of shows and loved entertaining the children, distracting them from their illnesses and making them laugh and putting smiles on their faces. Expressing joy and fun is an international language.

Genevieve also supports Camp Kumuntome, a summer camp for Christian families. Her family has been going for generations and now her daughter attends. It’s a camp run by volunteers and offers children and families a chance to commune with nature, reflect on one’s faith and live for a time in a more relaxed pace.

Rev Genevieve is attracted to all things that involve the respect and appreciation for the land and a holistic approach to our human existence. She enjoys yoga, sustainable living, poetry and creative writing. Genevieve is also a member with “The Muses Village”, a global women’s residency and community which meets monthly for workshops and has a book club.

We are encouraged by Genevieve’s efforts to continually build her skills towards her goal to serve others. Her plans for the future include offering spiritual wellness and yoga retreats, educational workshops and coaching support.
