The Clergy Support Memorial Church Board was pleased to certify Rev Julie Bargiglione to the office of Appointed Designated Minister- Pastoral Care in June 2024.  Julie is an experienced and compassionate individual who brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and empathy to her role. Her background in community service, combined with her personal values and life experiences, make her an excellent and welcome addition to our church.

A Few Words About Julie 

Rev Julie was in private practice as a Dental Surgeon for over three decades, serving her community in Zurich, Ontario, and beyond. Her commitment to helping others continues through her long-term volunteer work at the Wright Clinic, where she provides free dental services to low-income and immigrant individuals.  

In addition to her professional life, Julie has always been deeply involved in her community. She actively participates in Reforest London and has held the position of president in the Greater London Dental Study Group for over 20 years. Her hobbies, such as knitting and gardening, reflect her nurturing nature and her desire to give back, as she often donates handmade baby hats and fresh produce to local food banks. 

Her ability to connect with others is further demonstrated by her willingness to help and support those around her. She has a strong background in public speaking, gained through her teaching experience at the University of Western Ontario, and is comfortable engaging with diverse groups of people. 

Personal Growth 

Julie’s journey of personal growth is ongoing and multifaceted. Over the past year, she has embraced yoga, finding it to be a rewarding and challenging practice that has enhanced her physical and mental well-being. She is also learning Italian, reconnecting with her roots and spending valuable time with her mother in the process. Julie’s scientific background provides a unique perspective on spirituality, as she finds deep meaning and restoration in nature. 

Her commitment to continuous learning and personal development is evident in her pursuit of new skills and experiences, whether through physical activities like running and biking or intellectual pursuits such as reading fiction and non-fiction books. Julie’s holistic approach to life, combining physical activity, intellectual stimulation, and spiritual exploration, makes her a well-rounded and insightful individual.
