The Clergy Support Memorial Church Board was pleased to certify the Rev Cameron Whalen to the office of Appointed Minister- Community Care Ministry in August of 2024. His desire to connect deeply with people, both in times of joy and difficulty, positions him to offer meaningful support through life’s significant moments. We welcome Rev Cam with open arms to our Outreach Ministry.

Pastoral Care

Rev Cam has always had a strong commitment to helping others, which is reflected in his extensive community involvement. From volunteering in sports as a coach and referee to assisting with resume writing and interview training for youth at community centers, his life is centered on service. With over 20 years of experience as a minister caring for youth, families, and communities, Cam has honed his ability to connect with people across diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds. His openness and dedication to supporting others make him a compassionate and understanding guide.

His personal experiences also shaped his empathetic approach. He has embraced the opportunity to explore theology and the Bible from a broader, more inclusive perspective. His strong belief in the power of relationships and his ability to accept people as they mirror his core values of love, service, and spiritual guidance.

Personal Growth

Cam continually seeks personal and spiritual growth, particularly in understanding diverse perspectives. He enjoys reading and reflecting on spirituality through resources like the Bible app and prayer. His faith journey has been tested and strengthened through significant life events, including the illness and passing of family members. These challenges, while difficult, have deepened his reliance on God’s peace and comfort, helping his to support others in times of crisis with grace and empathy.
