Rev Tracey Leroux

The Clergy Support Memorial Church Board was in full agreement to certify the Rev Tracey Leroux to the office of Appointed Designated Minister – Life Celebrations and Pastoral Care on March 6, 2020.  Rev Tracey demonstrated she has the life experience, and in this context will be treated as analogous to academic theological training. She also brings patience, an approachable attititude and a good sense of humour, all traits which are welcomed by our board and needed to serve.

Giving Back

Rev Tracey feels good about what she does each day. Listening and being a good advisor often comes down to common sense and avoiding the temptation to interject your own similar issues on a particular subject. She admits she gets some of her best advice from the senior folks in our lives.

Outside of her regular work with young adults, over the past four years she’s been volunteering at the Pembroke Regional Hospital gift ship. This provided her with terrific opportunities to listen and care for folks who are dealing with stressful situations.

Her local branch of the St. Vincent de Paul soup kitchen serves people hot meals three days a week. Volunteering there a handful of times in the past year to serve these families has really opened her eyes. She plans to contribute more of her time to this cause.

Life Celebrations are events Rev Tracey looks forward to. Each opportunity to share these life changing moments with people makes her realize how much a person can contribute to another.

It doesn’t take much to show you genuinely care about people, and Rev Tracey makes it look easy.

Key Lessons Learned along the way
