Rev. David achieved the rank of Appointed Designated Minister with Clergy Support Memorial Church on October 23rd, 2012 and because of his education, experience and continued professionalism of Ministry of Pastoral Care, he was raised from the office of Appointed to Ordained status with the Church on August 7th, 2013. We are pleased to have someone of David’s calibre and experience, who continually gives of himself and provides a high level of activity in his community. His Statement of Faith embodies our own.

Ministry & Pastoral Care

In 2013, we asked David if he could help our other clergy in his area as a mentor, which he accepted.

David continually makes himself available for supply preaching in local Anglican and United churches in the Owen Sound area.

Some of his duties involve Life Celebrations (baptisms, weddings, funerals), pastoral visiting of hospital and senior’s residences, counselling services for those who are in bereavement, suffering a crisis, or who request prep-marriage and marriage counselling.

David’s Thoughts on Theology

David’s faith does not have a beginning or an end. His belief is adapted from Sir Thomas Browne, a 17th century scientist and author of “Religio Medici” who wrote that when trying to understand GOD “there be no impossibilities enough”. David believes in an all-loving GOD and that we are called upon to demonstrate to the world how GOD wants us to live together and relate to each other as Jesus taught: love GOD, love one another.
