She finds it to be personally rewarding and stimulating conducting the research for the sermons.

Pastoral Care Activities

She leads in worship services at Pleasant Meadow Nursing Home in Norwood .

Rev Brenda is very active in Life Celebrations, including weddings, funerals and recently baptisms.

She is also a professional funeral director roster at the Brett Funeral Home in Havelock and the Hendren Funeral Home in Norwood, supporting families and providing end of life services when called upon.

Spiritual Evolution

Brenda admits to being torn early in life as to which path she was truly being called for… teaching or preaching. Ministry was never far from her mind. While born and raised in the Anglican tradition, her ministry has led her to the United, Presbyterian, and Free Methodist churches as needed. She finds the services she provides humbling and is grateful for these opportunities to grow and develop, both personally and spiritually.

Closing Words

“I am a firm believer in the adage that “everything happens for a reason”. In holding to that belief, I think it allows me to focus on the big picture, rather than become immersed, weighed down and overwhelmed with details. It also allows me to envision and even seize the many opportunities that my present religious path in life has and will be presenting to me in an ever-widening variety of circumstances and situations.”
